Meet Dr. Heckman

Dr. Heckman earned his Ph.D. from Indiana University in 2010. He completed his pre-doctoral internship with the Boys Town Center for Behavioral Health. Then, he completed a post-doctoral fellowship with the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He served as the assistant training director the APA approved internship at Boys Town for five years. Previously, he was the manager of the outpatient behavioral health clinic with IU Health. Dr. Heckman has worked with school aged children up to seniors. He has training in a wide variety of evidence based treatment, like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, and parent training.
